31 May 2010

Our guys, Travis and Kit make a cameo appearance next to Grant Denyer in the style predominately reserved for bouncers and body guards.  What started off as a routine gig of representing Red Alert as Safety Officers turned into fame without the fortune.  Discovered for their talent and skill to be able to stand at attention fashioning BA and turnout gear – the stars were born. So set your TIVOs and get ready for a laugh.

Red Alert Passes With Flying Colours - ISO9001:2008

24 November 2009

RED ALERT PASSES WITH FLYING COLOURS

Last week, SAI-Global Lead Auditor Ron Forbes had the pleasure of spending 4 days travelling the countryside (along with our Quality team, Andrew and Dot) to the different Victorian Red Alert facilities auditing our Quality Management System, concluding at our Head Office in Melbourne.

The staff at Red Alert take pride in providing a high standard of service and are dedicated to ensuring that our training is presented in a clear and concise manner meeting all requirements for Nationally Recognised Training.

The feedback from Ron was very positive and he was heard to comment that he found the staff friendly and overall, demonstrated high morale. It was a frantic week covering all the facets of our training organisation but the final verdict was a successful audit and we have retained our Certification to ISO9001:2008 for another year.

RED ALERT dunks POKER STAR

23 October 2009

Recently, instructors and divers from Red Alert transported the SWET(Shallow Water Egress Trainer) to the Melbourne Aquarium for filming an episode of the new reality television series ‘POKER STAR’ airing on ONE HD at 8.30pm Wednesday nights. Contestants were challenged to participate in the HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) whilst grey nurse sharks and other marine life cruised by underneath. Episode 2’s theme was ‘FOCUS’ and the contestants had to demonstrate and complete the task of being turned upside down underwater, follow procedures of evacuation from the SWET and return to the surface. The next step was to swim to a buoy before submerging to the bottom of a rope and returning to the surface again. The key was to demonstrate ‘focus’ on the task whilst overcoming the stress of the sea life curiously circling the contestants.

For a look at the action go to the following POKER STAR link http://thepokerstar.com.au/1574.htm and check out our team in action.
